Position Overview:
ACI Super Speciality Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Physicist to join our oncology and radiology department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of radiation in medical treatments, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing imaging and radiation therapy techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and accurate administration of radiation therapy for cancer treatment.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on radiotherapy equipment and imaging systems.
- Develop and implement radiation safety protocols in compliance with national and international standards.
- Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and technicians to design effective treatment plans.
- Perform dosimetry calculations and calibrate radiation therapy equipment.
- Monitor radiation exposure levels for patients and staff, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines.
- Maintain proper documentation and regulatory compliance for radiation therapy procedures.
- Assist in training medical staff on radiation safety and new technologies.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- M.Sc. in Medical Physics or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Certification from AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board) or an equivalent regulatory body is preferred.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in a hospital-based radiation oncology department is preferred, but fresh graduates with the right qualifications are welcome to apply.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of radiation therapy, imaging techniques, and treatment planning systems.
- Proficiency in handling radiation therapy machines such as Linear Accelerators (LINAC).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to work effectively with healthcare professionals.
