Job Opportunity: Radiotherapy Technologist – ACI Super Speciality Hospital

Position Overview:
ACI Super Speciality Hospital is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiotherapy Technologist to join our oncology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating radiation therapy equipment, assisting in treatment planning, and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiotherapy to cancer patients.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and calibrate radiotherapy equipment, including Linear Accelerators (LINAC).
- Assist radiation oncologists and medical physicists in treatment planning and execution.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and alignment for radiation therapy sessions.
- Monitor patients during treatment and report any complications or concerns to the medical team.
- Maintain radiation safety protocols for both patients and healthcare professionals.
- Document treatment procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
- Perform routine quality assurance checks on radiotherapy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Educate patients about the treatment process, possible side effects, and post-treatment care.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Radiotherapy Technology or Diploma in Radiotherapy from a recognized institution.
- Certification from AERB (Atomic Energy Regulatory Board) or an equivalent regulatory body is preferred.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in a hospital-based radiotherapy department is preferred, but fresh graduates with the right qualifications are welcome to apply.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in handling radiotherapy machines such as LINAC.
- Understanding of treatment planning systems and dosimetry calculations.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and precision in treatment execution.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and the medical team.
