Position Overview:
ACI Super Speciality Hospital is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented OT Technician to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and management of the operating theatre, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques, and providing critical support to the surgical team during procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the operating theatre by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Ensure sterility and proper functioning of all surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and managing surgical tools.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and sterility in the operating theatre before, during, and after surgeries.
- Handle specimens collected during procedures and ensure proper documentation and transfer.
- Maintain and manage inventory of surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring timely procurement.
- Adhere to hospital policies and protocols to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Operation Theatre Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in an operating theatre is preferred, but fresh graduates with the right qualifications are welcome to apply.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques.
- Familiarity with operating theatre protocols and safety standards.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with surgical teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
