Whether the facility is a multispecialty hospital, small hospital, standalone diagnostic centre, or imaging centre, the planning process should consider the services to be provided and the expected patient workload. 5. Planning the X-Ray Room

1.If diagnostic Centre located in Resident Area the primary wall which x -ray fall  should be35cm  Bricks Wall or Equivalent.

2.But in Hospital it should be 23 cm Bricks wall or equivalent.Room size not less then 18 meter square for general radiography.

1. X-Ray Equipment Area

The area should provide sufficient space for free tube movement, patient positioning, and smooth workflow.

2. Control Console Area

The control area should:

Be located behind a protective barrier,Have a lead-glass viewing window,Allow the radiographer to observe the patient during exposure.

This protects the radiographer from unnecessary radiation exposure.

3. Patient Changing Cubicle

The changing cubicle provides:

Patient privacy,Storage hooks for clothing,Easy access to the X-ray examination area

4. Protective Storage

A dedicated storage area should be available for radiation protection accessories such as:

Lead aprons, Gonadal shields, Thyroid collars, Other radiation protection accessories

5. Pass Box

Where applicable, a pass box may connect the X-ray room with the darkroom or processing room, particularly in manual or CR-based systems.

6. Toilet Facility

A toilet facility may be provided near or within the X-ray area for patient convenience, especially for patients undergoing procedures that may require access to a toilet.

7. Radiation Warning Sign

A warning system should be provided at the entrance, including:

Radiation warning symbol with Machine Name and Machine Serial Number, Warning signage, Red X-Ray ON indicator light, AERB Approve Liseance for the x-ray Machine.

8. X-Ray Room Door
