Job Opportunity: Pharmacist – Chemotherapy Unit
Location: ACI Super Speciality Hospital, Nalco Square, Bhubaneswar
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our chemotherapy unit. The ideal candidate will have expertise in handling chemotherapy drugs, ensuring safe preparation, storage, and administration in compliance with hospital protocols and patient care standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense chemotherapy medications following oncology-specific protocols.
- Ensure accurate dosing and reconstitution of cytotoxic drugs in sterile environments.
- Monitor inventory levels of chemotherapy drugs and coordinate procurement.
- Collaborate with oncologists and nursing staff to ensure safe and effective treatment plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers on chemotherapy medications, their side effects, and precautions.
- Maintain meticulous records of drug preparation and dispensing in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to minimize exposure risks for staff and patients.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements: D.Pharm/B.Pharm / M.Pharm / Pharm.D from a recognized institution.
- Experience in handling chemotherapy drugs is highly desirable, but freshers with the right qualifications are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of oncology medications and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
